Hello again dear Fellows!
Another Xmas has finally come after a shiny year for us, the best year we could have never asked for.
A lot of things happened, we met a lot of nice people in any place we brought our show, people who appreciated our work and who tried to help us, who wanted to share something with us, or simply people who had fun during our shows and people who follows our journeys on the web from all over the world.
Thank You a Lot to All of You! Nothing we have done until now would have been possible, and nothing we are planning for the Future will be.
What's in the Future? A huge event, probably next Spring, that will bring You all our Show wherever You could be in this World.
Please keep on supporting Eva to make this come true!
I hope You will have a Merry Christmas!
Peace,
MrW

Machete Don’t Text, Machete Improvises
Yes Dudes, it is really happening, I'm definitely going to talk you about the most awsome movie in 2010: MACHETE!

As you may have come to know by now, I am a great B-movie fan! But this time, with this movie, I think that this genre has come to a new level!
It is REALLY AWSOME! It has become one of my favourite films ever, it has all the typical b-movie contents but it's much more than this!
First, it has an exceptional cast, featuring, among the others, Danny Trejo (the TOUGH Machete!), Lindsey Lohan, Michelle Rodriguez, Jessica Alba, Steven Seagull and His Majesty Robert DeNiro!
Second, it all started from the famous Fake Trailer in Rodriguez's Planet Terror, and even if it was fucking hard to make an entire movie cooler than the trailer, Rodriguez got it MUCH MORE MEMORABLE!
If you missed the trailer, here it is!
Isn't incredible that there could be something better than this?
Third, unlike most b-movies, it has also an interesting and meaningful plot! Fact that for the genre lovers isn't strictly necessary, but thanks to this a lot of people could appreciate this Masterpiece!
So definitely, YOU ALL have to watch this!

Yours,
MrW

Do you know traditional Italy?
Hey boys! Hey girls! What's up?
I've come home really exahusted tonight. The Gang has just enjoyed some really cool band rehearsals but after that a cold and rainy Genova was waiting for us. Carrying my huge synthesizer with Figaro's and Mr What's help I reached our car and there I travelled like as I were inside a painful iron maiden.
Btw, it gave me the chance to remind something. Have I ever told you about the traditional side of our country? Since I guess the answer is hell no... Shame on me! It may be interesting for you to know that even our beloved friend Brian Viglione told us that its band, The World/Inferno Friendship Society, uses to appreciate a heavy bunch of mediterrean influences.

The World/Inferno Friendship Society
Dear pals, for this reason this night you'll receive a very odd but definitely gorgeous goodnight present. Ladies and gentlemen, It's time to enjoy the pleasure of the traditional dances - and sounds - of south of Italy!

LB's latest kinky loves!
Hey fellows! Long time has passed since my last post. I've spent again a lot of freking cool time abroad and after that my university's classes started again! Whew! I'm still astounded.
In any event I can already say to you we're planning something special. Stay tuned and keep your fingers crossed buddies.
Btw, I'm here to share with you some of the crazy anthems recently looping on my personal playlist. Even now, while sipping from my huge coffee mug, they're making my day a little bit more warm (yep, Italy's living a way too much strong change of season for my tastes).
Here we go with Suzy from Caravan Palace!
Suzy's flashing on dance floor and sings that she's expecting more swinging dreams!
The creepy fact about this band from Paris is that they started their career composing music for vintage and otherwise mute porn clips!
My next suggestin is Candan Erçetin from the beautiful Turkey. The style of this lady is quite smart and warm and also widely influenced by the use of folk instruments. Enjoy Vay Halime and let's make some Turkish practice!
Vay vay vay vay benim halime, dinlemedim anneciğimi düştüm zalime!
Time for a classic! I hope ya all know that genius of music storytelling I totally love: Nick Cave.

His majesty Nick Cave!
His ninth studio album, Murder Ballads, is a true masterpiece of dark and scary tales about murderers and psychos. Indeed a must have! Take a look to this song's beautiful lyrics featuring the well-known Kylie Minogue: Where The Wild Roses Grow.
I think you will deeply fall in love with this short story.
Do you know where the wild roses grow, so sweet and scarlet and free?
Unfortunately some business is now waiting for me but I will post again soon. See you later dear fellows!

BONUS! Thanks to Camy!

L.A. women
Well, sometimes I feel like my only friend is the city Anthony Kiedis lives in, off course the CITY OF ANGELS!
This is because I've just discovered an other astonishing band from L.A. called 'Warpaint' a bunch of ladies doing a sort of psychedelicatmosphericbombalisticpopular music which is very interesting (to be honest, who won't fall in love with a lady who can actually play a psychedelicatmosphericbombalisticpopular song???!?!!?)
Listen to this song while you're doing something else (note Mr. Klighoffer on drums):
p.s. Maybe a glass or two of Ouzo will help you appreciate this music....

SHOUT!
Definitely, YES! SHOUT PARTY is the BEST party you could find yourselves in! It is really incredible!
As LuckyBastard and I considered yesterday night, while we were wandering tirely in a kind of desert-post-atomic Genova without anyone or anything alive around us, that party is the only place where I genuinely manage to have FUN!
I don't know why, it is kind of magical, it's the atmosphere, the people, the good music, but the fact is that there everything makes you let yourselves go and REALLY have fun! You enter this Gyps-a-Billy-Beat-Punk-Cabaret world and by the end of the concerts (yeah, it's kind of 4 or 5 hours of uninterrupted concerts!) you are completely lost in this wonderful world!
I really have to thank you the great headliners of the party, Kamikaze Queens, and the guys that more than anyone created that magical atmosphere, the band made me dance and jump and shout more than any other there, and the guys who offered us a beer in the aftershow, Jane Walton!
Great night! I'm looking foreward to SHOUT 2011!

Italy's HOT!
Oh my God! Dear fellows, I'm going to die! The latin blood in my veins is literally boiling, damn! Italy is fucking hot nowadays!
Anyway... I've some news for you, nice guys.
First, we're going to play in a super cool festival, which is called Borberock. The gig is going to take place on July 17, at Borghetto di Borbera, at 21 o'clock. You have to know that it represents a fucking good goal for every band in our country. Hourray!
Second, the Gang is growing up! We're actually in touch with interesting people from Italy and abroad whom are already on the way to develop with us a really cool -and brand new- visual output for the Gang's shows. Stay tuned to know something more about that!
Third, I'm going to travel again and again and again! I'm really in love with Turkey and its people. Because of this, my knowledge about its tradition and its secrets becomes day after day bigger and bigger. For this reason, I'd like to express my gratitude for a bunch of beautiful people, such as Başar, Meliz, Oğuz, Gamze, Elif, Begüm, Emrah, Meltem, Alba and Giulia. All these people (in a way or another) made my Istanbul experience pure awesomess. Actually, in my home, now everyone can enjoy the priceless beauty of my new handmade doholla and my black nargile. Thanks guys, now my life is even more rock and roll!
Of course, I've already found the best way to share with you all these beautiful findings. Begüm suggested watching a cool movie called "Crossing the Brigde: The Sound of İstanbul"... Well, she was definitely right! The movie is awesome (in fact it's a documentary), and it shows perfectly the soul of Istanbul. So, guys, what are you waiting for? Get it!

This movie really rocks!
PS: Hey! I want to tell you something more! I'm considering to record as videos my next blog entries. What do you think about that? See ya soon!

Great Expectations!!
Hi guys! How are you?
Hope you all are fine! LuckyBastard is coming back right now from his 1-month-long holiday in Istanbul (I hate you Bastard!!!! :D) but here the gang's never stopped working and producing!
In fact, in these very days we are a little step closer to our first LP! Yes bros, there's a terrifying lot to do, but we completed the drafts of all the 13 tracks of our first (and still remote by the way) LP!!!!
Well, I'm really excited about that! And a bit worried too, you know, I feel like an anxious father waiting for his first son to born at the hospital!
There's great stuff in those tracks, and only for those who will come to our next performance (19th June, check our MySpace Page for info) we will perform 2 of the new tracks!!
Get ready for a stunning and SHIVERING intro!!
For now, I'll leave you with a video from our last gig at Area51!
Peace,
MrW

Yassas my people!
Hope your spirits r alright,
Yesterday evening, while I was strolling like a stone over the grassy hills and the last rays of the sun were slapping my drowsy face, I met my brother Mr? who was washing his car by hand (in case you're wondering: yes,he was wearing a suit even in that occasion)..
Well, we sat on the bonnet and started talking about deep matters, the ones that Balcanian people like me use to talk about after a reinvigorating meal, like you kno...life, stages, colours, sounds and offcourse, the Plot.
Well, we still have different points of view on that matter...but anyway we both think that travelling should be a colourful experience that fills your heart like a casbah, that makes you meet love & peggars, tzigani punkrockerz & peanut smugglers, cheerful undertakers & gloomy jugglers...it's not easy to tell what's the real meaning of travellimg.
-Pardon me if i'm not so clear, but it's not easy to write down on a computer keybrd while my hands r holding two glasses filled with the finest ouzo but anyway, I hope you'll understand what I mean...-
Anyway, what I'm trying to tell is that we played our heart out in our last gigs...trying to describe the meaning of Eva's travelling...it's not so simple, but if you'll give us other chances in the future we'll manage....
Promise.
Yours,
BH

Türkiye çok güzel!
Yeah fellows.... Turkey is very beautiful! I'm spending in Istanbul the most awesome days of my entire life and to be honest, after last "Shout Party!" I believed that impossible.

A nice view of Istanbul
Why Istanbul? Well, this city is colorful, amazing and, simply, awesomly charming... I'm living in a big and comfortable flat with two nice guys, who are definitely great. They're very hospitable and they can also cook a heavy bunch of wonderful turkish food! So, I'm trying to share with them some of the secrets of classical italian cook! My first experiment went really good, and it made me quite happy I must say.
However, two days ago I went to a super cool massive party that take place just once per year here in Istanbul. It's name is Hıdrellez Festival. Evet (yes), that means that I was insanely lucky to be in here at the right moment.
Inside that festival you can find a LOT of cool stuff, such as super great food, weird events, a magic tree which makes wishes come true and, overall, astounding gypsies! I spent my whole night wandering around to follow the most skilled jugglers and dancing with crazy darbuka's groovy patterns! After that, the most enjoyable thing was a hilarious Ayran shaking dance, performed by a group of giant mad cows. Harika (wonderful)!

A Gypsy performing her show. All the people were amazed!

A giant cow watching the weird Ayran shaking dance

A dancing cow. Let's freak the party out!

The magic tree which makes wishes come true
Well, fellows, I've a lot of stuff to do tomorrow, so I really have to go now. Btw, I hope to find some time to write about my crazy adventures as soon as possible.
Görüşürüz! That just means... See you soon!

You can put Eva in the next Sziget Festival's guest list! Yeah, that's true!
Hey fellows! Eva needs your votes to become one of the guests of next Sziget Festival with Muse, Subsonica, Iron Maiden, Gorillaz, Infected Mushroom, 30 Seconds to Mars and many more international artists! How cool!
Since it could be an astounding opportunity for us, please vote for her clicking here or on the banner below

I've also a hot new for you! Eva's been awarded as one of the best 12 emerging band from Italy! The Gang took part in a quite cool contest, Primo Maggio Tutto l'Anno, blasting off over 700 other bands. We didn't won the final prize (which was for 3 bands only, yikes), but we feel really proud anyway! Plus, tomorrow night, we're going to have a big gig at Area51 of Vignole Borbera. It will be a double celebration 'cause we will receive another nice award as Jury's Choice winners for Hangar19 band contest!
That makes me insanely happy! I'll will leave Italy really amazed...

The Graduate
Here I am pals! I did it! I got my bachelor's degree in Design. How cool! To celebrate this awesomly great event I'm scheduling a heavy bunch of amazing stuff:
- I'm setting up a massive party, which will take place in June. Stay tuned for this
- I'm going to spend my whole May in Turkey! That's the best part. Travels are always insanely good business
However, I haven't forget you and my promises! I said I would have put a higly detailed review about my New Year's Eve journey to Istanbul and.... I'll do it in a way or another. Maybe a quick peek before my upcoming trip!
Btw, I've a lot of fresh news to share with you all, such as we're actually managing an Art Exhibition where Frida is exposing her nice, colorful and priceless (well, not really... You should poke her if interested!) paintings.
The exhibit (which is placed in Cantine Embriaci, here in Genoa) started last Thursday and will last until next Thursday. That day all Gang's musician will perform a double acoustic gig from 18:30 to 01:30. Check out our Myspace or eva's Fan Page for more details about it.
Anyway, I'm proud to tell you all that this is just the first of a long series of art shows managed by us! Stay tuned then, because we're scouting for interesting artists to make the thing huge.
Unfortunately I've a bad new too. Our beloved Smoggy is going to left Italy again, leading for Singapore, in a very few days. So Thursday will be your last chance to wave at him before his new sail. I dedicate this amazing clip I found (which foreruns Betty Boop cartoons) to him. C ya soon mate, and rock the boat.
Smoggy as Barnacle Bill
On the other hand last week was quite great. I spent an entire day in Milan (led by a nice friend of mine) to enjoy the amusements set up for its Design Week. Luckily, I was invited to become part of an artistic perfomance by Cascoland (which was super!), plus, I happily yelled in this big thing! How great!

A super big megapone set up for Public Design Festival 2010
Well, I've some more news but I'll put them in my next blog post, since my time is running short at the moment.
Güle güle fellows, let's start packing!
PS: next time I will tell you who actually was the Walrus first!

Yeah guys! I'm going to graduate! In two days I'll become a Bachelor graduated in Communication Design! This is so mother*ucking good! We'll party soon about this, so stay tuned!
By the way, my beloved folks, I've a cool video for you as usual! Since we're all waiting for some Camille's brand- new hits, I'd like to share with you the making of her latest, and probably best, studio album: Music Hole.
This way of making music totally thrills my soul.
Des pieds et des mains par Camille
Last but not least, I'd like to say a HUGE thank you to Bad Horse, who totally freakened out the stage, yesterday night.
You're cool, dude.

First of all I want to thank you one of the greatest musician and sweetest person on this tiny planet, BRIAN VIGLIONE, from Dresden Dolls and World/Inferno Friendship Society and many other incredibly cool bands. After I met him in Verona during a World/Inferno concert, we kept in touch with each other and he's giving us a lot of useful pieces of advice!
So, THANK YOU VERY MUCH BRIAN FROM US ALL!
Please, support this guy and his bands!
And now let's check out some of the coolest news of the week.
First of all, we entered the semi-finals of the contest Hangar19, thank you everybody for the support! You will find us fighting for the access to the final session on 1st April same place and same time, Area51 Vignole Borbera, Alessandria, IT at around 10 p.m.!
But the greatest news is that that day we will have at the bass our beloved official bassist again! Our dearest SMOGGY! Anyway, Bad Horse will still be around don't worry!
Next new: on Monday 22nd the gang will struggle against three other great Italian bands to conquer the chance to play at the 1st May huge concert that takes place every year at Rome! I'm realy excited for that, it is a great chance for us! So if you are around come and support us! When? Where? March 22nd, SoundVillage, Via XX Settembre 26, Genova, IT from 9.30p.m.!
Well, that's all for now!
I hope to see you all at our next gigs!
Bye!

What is back!
Hi my dear dudes!
I know, it's been a while since i last wrote here on the blog, but i swear, Mr. What hasn's forgotten of You all! I just had some troubles with my internet connection, well, I still have troubles with that, in fact I'm writing from a filthy internet point downtown. Yes, I couldn't bear being far from You much longer!
So, what's new?
Actually, a lot of things, many of which I still can't talk you about. As some of You may have noticed, the project is evolving to a brand-new-but-unexpected-but-freakingly-exciting level! Be patient, things are going on fine and soon you will get to know a New Eva!
But for now, I know it sounds like a cold consolation prize, but we are going to publish the tunes from our second demo, "Cabaret?", on the Project Myspace Page in a few days! Probably they will also be in free download on our Download Web Page! Stay Tuned!
What else? NEXT GIG SCHEDULED: the gang will struggle in a cool Band Contest called Hangar19 at Area51, Vignole Borbera (AL), Italy on the 4th March! So, if You are round there, COME AND SUPPORT EVA!
Well, I have to go guys! See You Soon!
Yours,
Mr.W

Eva is looking for new gang members! Step 1: Graphician
Yay, this is true. Pure awesomess dear mates.

Wait for it: .......Legendary!
We're looking for some cool people to grant a visual boost-up to the gang. If this thrill you, well, you just have to contact us. We need some drawnings, new graphics and someone brave enough to create an experimental videoclip over a short instrumental (and still mysterious) track.
Wake up! It's time to join the gang, fellows!

400+ fans! Vive la gang! (Et voici nouvelles suggestions)
Thank you very much fellows! Some days ago we've set a goal on our myspace page: reaching 400+ facebook fans before 28th Feb. Well... Today, 31th Jan, we already did it! See!
You really did a great job, guys. Thank you very much! This is a very special day for Eva and the whole gang.
Now your friendly (and currently a bit overstressed) LB wants to greet you with something special: http://www.europopmusic.eu/index.html
Were you hungry for cool, new, influences? Were you looking for a bunch of nice music suggestions? Well, this website could serve your cause very well. It's a monthly webzine with really good reviews.

Where you also looking for some entertainment? LB could amouse you again with the great Flight of the Conchords. They're a band from New Zealand, but also freakin' good actors with a hilarious show which could amaze you too.

These guys are awesome!
---
Finally, I'd like to share with you this song. Damn! Actually I'm totally in love with nouvelle chanson.
Jeanne Cherhal - Le Petit Voisin

Strange Love
Hey guys! I found this half french/half spanish singer wandering on the net. I can't put her music out of my mind. Yep! Her clips are also quite enjoyable.
See.
Olivia Ruiz - Elle panique
Olivia Ruiz - Belle à en crever
I've also found this song from Australia and its clip is really amazing. I've to say thank you to a good friend since this one was kindly suggested by her.
Sia - Soon We'll Be Found
Enjoy foreign music!
Yours, LB

The evil me
A new year has finally come! It's time to make a bunch of crazy plans and schedule something great (Eva conquering the world? Ya, would be good!). Actually, since I'm close to my graduation, I'm exploring strange dimensions of pure weirdness caused by my new mad habits... Skipping sleep? Not such a good panacea. So that's why I still haven't written anything about the wonderful trip I've just had. Oh, Istanbul! Guys, that place is simply incredible! I've so much cool stuff to talk about. So hold on!
Well, this year also began with some refreshing news. First: I had a haircut. Yep, my legendary hair-style is no more on this Planet. Are you wondering how? Well, I was looking for something new and the girl with scissors made an evil version of me. See.

Oh my god! An evil and so damnly charming LB!
Anyway I think that this neat appearance simply doesn't fit me at all, so this is the story how I quickly changed my mind. Btw please feel free to send me your reviews, even if I'm already the curly one again.

Good fellows working
Second (we were listing): Eva's going to take part in a nice band contest. This event, called Hangar 19, will see us on stage for a great gig on March 4th at Area 51 in Vignole Borbera (AL, Italy). So, since we need your support... Stay tuned and just don't miss it.
Third: my weirdness, and a good friend's advice, lead me to a really cool (and it also seems popular) website which name is Livemocha. How does it works? Well, you just have to subscribe on it (it's free) putting your native language plus all the foreign ones you'd like to learn (or just improve) and... The magic begins! The site will teach you a lot of usueful stuff and, best part, provides you also the oppurtunity to exchange suggestions, corrections or just a chat with native speakers from the whole world. It's pure awesomess. Well, you have to know that since I'm deeply in love with foreign languages I'm using this mocha-stuff to refine my English and Spanish, and also to learn French and Turkish(!).
Don't be so amazed guys, as I said I'm in love with foreign languages and also Turkey has stole my soul! So, if you want just try to catch me on the mocha.
My aka? LuckyBastard, of course.

A Great 2010 Has Just Begun!
Yes guys, 2010 has just begun in great style!
Eva is getting ready for a great show, something you had never experienced before. In fact our Official Recruitment has just been opened some days ago (you can read about it in the column on the left of this page or on Eva's myspace page).
This is becoming a really wide project so, what the Hell are you waiting for? Contact us and join Eva!
What about other news? Last Thursday LB and I attended the gig of Guano Padano in Genova, IT. It was a really cool gig, I really liked their Morriconian style, and also the location was really great, somehow in between theatre and a live pub: perfect for Eva (we are keeping in touch with them indeed).
Finally, yesterday we had a great gig, we really enjoyed it, the public was great (thank you everybody guys!). But most of all we played after a REALLY GREAT band, Just Add Melody, they are amazing, support them! We are scheduling more gigs with them since we had a really good time.

Well, that's all for now! Bye!
Mr.W
